In April, Traveling Hive was honored to take part in an artist residency in California.

Through a blend of research and creative exploration, we investigated the cultural history of fire-adapted plants, Indigenous practices of land management through fire, and the ecological connections between bees and fire, resulting in work that unites scientific insights with artistic expression.

This residency marked an exciting step forward in Traveling Hive’s mission to connect people with the natural world through art and education. We are eager to expand this work, bringing similar residencies, art shows, and community events to new places. If you’re interested in collaborating or supporting these efforts, we’d love to hear from you.
